ABANDONED PLACES THAT LOOK AMAZING

Here are a few very cool looking places that are a mix of isolated, abandoned and sometimes scary. This first one is on my list of a place I’d love to see. The sunken boat in Antarctica creeps me out the most. I don’t know why… maybe cold water scares me? Kalavantin Durg near Panvel, India Kalavantin durg is situated aside the prabalgad, the pinnacle is in clouds during rains...

OLD BIKE BECOMES NEW

Ok it is not that old at all, but the parts on this Trek bike were the horrible Sram ones and made me crazy. Huge thanks to my friend Alex (Sasha) who did the big swap for me. I rode this today and it felt like a new bike. Yahoo. This DURACE stuff is really nice. So glad to have it on there today. I am almost convinced the parts made me faster too.

HOW TO TAKE TRAVEL PHOTOS THAT DONT SUCK

RUNNING THE GRAND CANYON. A GRAND ADVENTURE.

What a grand adventure indeed! Last week I had the exhausting pleasure of running most of the Canyon and back. 28 miles from Phantom Ranch to North rim and back. I did that in 6:30 and am pleased with that. The real full deal is doing Rim to Rim to Rim, but with the North rim being closed, and with that being 70 plus km (44 miles) if I did Rim to rim to rim, I would not been able to do much else...

GREAT WALL MARATHON!

What a cool event. Capacity crowds and a really great day. I did the half marathon distance but now wish I did the full just for the pleasure of covering that section of the wall again. People from 52 countries came to partake and everyone seemed to have had a good time. Not a fast time though since those walls are steep!)This South American fellow raced it pretty much barefoot!

MONKEYS ALWAYS WIN

Monkeys on the trail up Emei Shan are infamous for taking exactly what they want. Very Aggressive. Bringing up a plastic bag here!? Not a good idea at all. Great to watch the mayhem from silly tourists who ignored all warnings. (Location: Emei Shan, Sichuan, China)
