OUT OF MY ELEMENT

I sold my trusty Element today. Kind of sad to see the best car I have ever had disappear, but it is going to a good home :-). Amine and his family will use it for all sorts of cool things. Taking off my logo was kind of a sad finish but it totally makes sense. I am now carless and it looks like my weekend plans will now have me needing to RIDE my bike to Mt. Vernon (150 km?)… I guess the...

DID YOU KNOW HAL WAS CANADIAN?

SPACE ODYSSEYS HAL COMPUTER IS CANADIAN! 2001 Space Odyssey’s HAL was born in Winnipeg! Douglas Rain (the voice of Hal) recorded his part with never seeing a stitch of film from the movie. That was intentional too since it kept the voice sounding Aloof and Neutral. Due to the fact that infamous HAL voice had such an impact on society – a feeling of distrust, you will (virtually)...

It is really a...

Lovely matting and plaques etc. Should look very nice I think. Non Glare Plexiglass even since one frame goes to Germany, and one goes Montreal. *Shipping real glass that large is not a good plan, so plexiglass it is,...

At Leah and Peter’s wedding in Deep Cove. Yep It gets windy. What was I thinking. Everybody almost got to know me a bit better I guess! Oops. Great timing by Leah. This was shot just as I was commenting on the winds just kicking up and saying “You are probably going to take a photo.”

NICE WORKSHOP PHOTO

Nice photo Mike Heller! Mike was one of the 27 at my photo workshop on June 10th and pulled out this very cool wide angle image. I had been mentioning that a wide angle lens is my absolute favorite to travel with since you can convey so much information. This indeed does that too. Shows what is going on and includes a huge amount of information on who is in the room. Thanks to all that attended...
