SPEAKING ABOUT CATARACTS AT THE SEVA AGM
Posted by Alfie the Cat on Dec 7, 2011 in BLOG | 0 commentsOn December 2nd I had the pleasure of speaking at SEVA’s Annual General Meeting. I was able to share my personal experiences with Cataract Surgeries performed in Western China / Eastern Tibet in the Hospital that SEVA helped fund!
First time showing images from this most recent trip and it was great to share them. Very nice audience! Thanks to Penny Lyons, Heater Wardle and everyone who came. Nancy Mortifee was kind enough to introduce me and Peter Mortifee took some lovely pics too.
Nancy Mortifee introducing William.
Explaining about bus trips being a bit cramped in China.
The three sisters who travelled 1200 km to get cataract surgeries. I was able to pay for their portion of the costs… possibly some of the best money I have ever spent.
Presenting Penny from Seva with a framed photo I created of the Doctors and latest patients who came in for this life changing procedure. *Same photo as you see on the screen.
