2023 (Sunday June 25, 20123) #20th year:

Hello everyone and thanks so much for coming to our 20th RP40 Block party. That was quite the gap since 2019 (pre covid). This was great fun and so many new friends were made, and even some babysitting deals were struck up I think!

We had the Fire Dept bring a truck and even do a tug of war with the kids, and Cst. Hooper who is the new Police Blockwatch guru came for most of the whole event. Thanks Lyle for stepping up with a BBQ to cook the burgers and dogs I purchased (thanks to NSG Grant for help with that too), and Barb for blender help too! Thanks to Susan and David for creatively making some barricades at the last minute, and for helping clean the street pre party, and John for helping me bounce ideas off of him for music choices, etc. Sue Bains returned with her accordion to entertain us all too. Yahoo. I purchased that insanely long and heavy rope for the tug of war, so get practicing so you can win the battle next year.

BTW we won an award last year for this blockwatch being one of the older ones in the city, and it was great fun to find out we were in fact the largest of all the 20 year ones, by almost 5x! Thanks so much for your participation and enthusiam. William Jans

Theft from Vehicle: File number 16-133445. He was already caught, but with no penalties really, he may likely come back. It would be nice to make him feel unwelcome. If you see him you can call police with this File number mentioning he was charged with theft here before and they will shoo him away. Please remember if you EVER see anyone trying car doors, that is a crime and can be reported. Thanks for being alert.IF this does not play well here you can see it on youtube here: https://youtu.be/Y-HX-xmnc64

Thank you William for all that you do in this neighbourhood!

Leia, Nick, Wade & I appreciate all your efforts in getting the neighbours together, year after year! What a lot of work and special arrangements in inviting the police, firefighters, entertainment, etc. It certainly makes it special for the kids especially.

We are all blessed indeed to have you as a neighbour!

    Thank you again!

    Rosalind & Wade
