1) GENERAL INFO

William’s Tiny Cabins in Pender Harbour are an easy and picturesque 76km drive up the Sunshine Coast (100 km from downtown Vancouver). Drink in the wonderful air and perfect water.

SIZE: Yup, both cabins are small. TINY CABIN: 8×12 feet on lower floor plus 6×3 bathroom. Top floor is approx 7×12. UPPER CABIN: 8×12 but does not lose floor space due to design. Tiny Bathroom. Top sleeping area is approx 7×12.

WILDLIFE: Below: You may see Deer, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, lizards, turtles, Grouse, Bald Eagles, a wild bunny, owls, bats, crickets, loons on the lake…

CANOE: Launching my lightweight canoe from my dock.

WARM LAKE: This lake is only about 30 feet deep so it can often hit 80 degrees F.  It is also the drinking water source locally so no noisy boats :-).

ROPE SWING: 2 minute walk rom my dock.

PENDER HILL TRAIL: There is a trail from the back of my lot – and 2 easier routes too.

I made this fun video that will give an idea of the lake in front, the mountain off the back yard and my lot itself. MANY improvements since this video.

New clip in 2021 of the Excessive bump on the new Excessive trail. Named that since it has 7 bridges so far. A bit excessive?

MOVIES: indoor dvd or outdoor possible (with some set up).

IN THE TINY CABIN:  Heaters on both floors, fantastic drinking water, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, barbecue, induction hot plate, small fridge with small freezer, coffee maker with built in filter, blender, fire extinguisher. Also plates and cutlery.

5) TRAILS ON THE LOT

Trails on the lot include “the art trail”, “Excessive Trail”, “Trickle Trail”. They are short and picturesque and include cool stops to see like “The BFR (Big fuzzy Rock)”, “Rock in Tree”, and “The crazy tree that should not be”

August 2 3 4 2014. Wow! JUST WOW! Way beyond my expectations. Gorgeous place and so comfortable and interesting to explore. I swam, hiked up and over Pender Hill for the view, took in the great lower trail, canoed. This has been a treat to repeat. I must have taken 200 pictures too! So photogenic here!

Sept 29, 2014 – Fabulous Stay! Two nights was not enough. Skookumchuck was interesting and nice easy walk. We also climbed Pender Hill for the amazing views – tricky hiking but fun. Also did some relaxing canning in the evening. Everything was great. Guests should check out Motoko’s Gallery nearby or her works at the Rockwater Lodge in Halfmoon bay – great inspired artist. Sept 9, 2014 We loved the Tiny Cabin! Perfect for the two of us and a perfect location to see the area. We hiked Pender Hill, went canoeing, drove to Egmont and walked to the Skookumchuck narrows. I wish we had more time here and will definitely be back. Thank you for building such a fantasmatastic property. Every detail is perfect and we could feel how much love went into it. Sept 1, 2014 – Lovely Weekend with a lot of variety – hiking, swminning, paddlebaording, bon fires, giant JENGA!, fishing and canoeing! And then Skookumchuk on our way with a late lunch at the West coast Wilderness Lodge! All great. and grateful that it did not rain. Just a little sprinkle here and there!! (Bryan, Susan, Cameron and Thomas). A weekend break from Busy Vancouver!

7) EXTRA NOTES

Below: Here is a reason why I say no dogs… we actually had a “wild” chicken show up out of nowhere and it stayed for almost 3 days and 2 nights. So great!:
